On Behalf of | Nov 10, 2011 | Firm News |

A Will is a declaration in a legal document of the intention of the person who has executed a Will, with respect to his/her property, which he/she desires to be become effective after death.

Having a Will often removes the possibility of all unwanted disagreements among your spouse, children, and relatives.

In the absence of a Will, the court distributes the property. Having a Will can give you a peace of mind that your estate will be distributed according to you wishes, clarify your burial wishes, explain your wishes for taking care of the needs of minor children, among other things.

A Will can be made by anyone who has approached the age of 18.

In addition, if any of the following apply, you should consider making or amending your Will:

  • Marriage
  • Divorce
  • Becoming a parent
  • Inheriting money
  • Owning a business
